WESWOOD SHUTTERS FEATURE...

KILN DRIED BASS WOOD
A North American hardwood, Basswood resists warping, shrinking and bleeding. It is one of the lightest hardwoods, which reduces the chances of sagging in large panels.

HARDWOOD DOWEL CONSTRUCTION
All shutter panels are glued and doweled in all four corners, duplicating construction techniques used in the assembly of fine furniture.

TAPERED LOUVERS
Five tapered louver sizes are available: 1 7/8",2 1/2",3 1/2",4 1/2", and 5 1/2".

RABBETED PANELS AND MOLDED BACKSTOPS
Adjoining panels are rabbeted with molded backstops on frames to provide proper closure and prevent light leaks.

MORTISED HINGES
Outer hinges are mortised into the stile, allowing approximately 1/16" space between the panel and frame.

REINFORCED LOUVER-TILT ROD CONNECTION
Only heavy duty, glue coated, extra long staples are used to attach louvers to the tilt rod insuring a strong hold.

LOUVER TENSIONING SYSTEM
Our louver tension screw system allows instant adjustment to louver tension to insure proper operation.

FLUSH RAIL DESIGN
Top, bottom and center rails are the same thickness (1 1/8") as panel side stiles to increase overall panel strength and eliminate light gaps.

NYLON LOUVER PINS
Nylon louver pins are used to pivot the louvers, eliminating shrinking, swelling and wear.

PRE-ASSEMBLED FRAME UNITS
All frames are pre-mitered and assembled (size permitting) with hinges attached insuring a trouble free installation.
